saying about us.

We are so happy with the service provided by Divi Contractors. They quoted us a reasonable price and when they completed the work we were so happy. Highly recommend.

These guys were brilliant. They cleaned up after themselves, arrived on time every day and were very polite. Really happy with the work we’ve had done. Thanks

Amazing work from the guys at Divi Contractors. They fully understood what we wanted to achieve and were able to bring our project to life in such a short time

Andrew Stapleton

General Contractor and Principal Owner

As a young carpenter I cultivated my roots working on both new construction and remodeling projects throughout the coastal towns of New England during the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. More specifically, Cape Cod and the north shore of Massachusetts. I cut my teeth as a carpenter on a framing crew building spec homes around the Cape and Islands. There, I became very familiar with the process of new home construction from foundation to finish, obtaining my first certification as a licensed contractor in 2005.

In the latter part of my formative years, having relocated to the north shore, I focused on the restoration of buildings that were hundreds of years old. I surgically dissected these old homes and reconstructed them with my own hands. All of those experiences carefully molded my perspective as I developed a passion for revitalizing neglected structures, forming the foundation of my vision.

In 2008, I landed on the west coast and have spent the last fifteen years honing my skill-set in the revival of old buildings throughout the greater Bay Area. I obtained my second certification as a licensed contractor, this time for the State of California in early 2016. Since then I have operated my company independently, evolving the focus to include a more custom design/build approach, in addition to the traditional methods I practiced for so long.

My Reviews

Highly Recommended!

We’ve worked with Andy on two remodel projects over the last four years and highly recommend him. The first was a large, 6 month renovation of our house in San Francisco that included a kitchen remodel and a complete remodel the back addition (foundation work, taking to the studs and moving walls, adding a full bathroom, removing a wall and putting in a beam, etc.). Andy was honest and responsive and had an eye for details. He and his team did high quality work from the framing to finish carpentry to the tile. And they did it all while we lived in the front of our house with our two young kids, so Andy was also flexible and respectful of our space. We recently reached back out to Andy to remodel an upstairs bathroom that we couldn’t afford to do at the time. We had to have the work completed while we were away on the East Coast with family for an extended time due to the pandemic, so we trusted Andy to manage the job while we were away. We felt comfortable with Andy managing the remodel while we were away, because he was response and we knew he would complete the job in a timely manner with high quality work. In short, we recommend Andy and we’d be happy to be a reference if you’re considering a job with him.

Honest & Trustworthy

I have been working with Andrew Stapleton, owner of Revival Construction for approximately 7 years. Andrew is a diligent, hard working Professional contractor who pays attention to detail.
I own a lovely Victorian in Noe Valley, San Francisco, however, I live in Los Angeles.
I’ve trusted him to run the job site for several difficult projects without my physical presence, not only does he keep me informed but is also willing to consult with me throughout the entire project.
Andrew has completed several varied complicated projects; Replacement of decayed posts in 3 story backyard staircase, Mold remediation project, Studio roof replacement, Gutter maintenance, Discovery of interior top flat leak that went unattended and undiscoverable until Andy was able to locate plus repair it and, most recently painting of back staircase and project manager for painting the exterior of my 1908 Victorian.
Andy has a list of dependable and reliable sub-contractors.
Unlike other contractors I’ve worked with, who take short cuts, Andy insists on strictly following acceptable trade practices without increasing costs.
In addition, Andy communicates well with tenants and neighbors when necessary, willing to listen to their concerns as well as address issues diplomatically. During Andy’s busy season, scheduling in advance is a good idea.
I recommend Andy highly, he is trustworthy, loyal and honest, 3 of the most difficult qualities to find in a contractor.

Piece of Art

I have done three major projects on my home over the years and all I can say is that I wish that Andrew had done all of them; unfortunately he was the general contractor for just this most recent project. His attention to detail, both with construction and project management, is very important.

Communication: Although there are always surprises when opening up a wall where there has been water damage, Andrew always communicated immediately and clearly about any “new” issues. He and his team were also very creative with solutions and always discussed various options to address an issue.

Quality: Andrew works with some of the best subcontractors in the area, and they seem to really like him as a colleague. His carpentry team was exceptional, and not only was their work visually stunning, but also extremely structurally sound. SF Victorian homes can be tricky, but they were very creative at dealing with all of the unusual things that popped up.

Design: On my first two projects I worked with an architect, who was great, but the contractor did not have an attention for detail. On this most recent project (a complex retrofit of the garage, refurbishment of a teahouse, and added patio space), I worked just with Andrew and his team, who came up with great design ideas, which also met the requirements of the City. Some of this was a moving target, as things changed based on issues discovered once walls were opened up, but they provided great ideas and feedback throughout the process.

Neighbors: This is a city and the neighbors are right on top of us. Although a lot of contractors don’t really think about neighbors, other than seeing them as problematic during the construction process, Andrew and his team worked very hard to maintain a great working relationship with all of them. Andrew has finished the project, and I still have a great relationship with my neighbors. One cannot underestimate the importance of a contractor’s ability to maintain good relationships with one’s neighbors. Most importantly, one of my neighbors commented to me that I had not been forthcoming when I told him I was doing construction, since the final project is actually a “piece of art.”
